Everyone brain rotting on CT about “floor price up/down” and no one actually thinking about Strategy dynamics layered and metagame for anything but the next couple of days. There is a lot that can go in the thought process behind a trade. For example. Apes being so low, and still dropping, really sucks for my bags no fucking doubt, but is absolutely great for the Strategy: lowering its cost of acquisition, and having a flywheel trigger that is much closer and attainable. For example, today’s buys get burned at 9.4, we were there last week ffs. Apefest is only two weeks away and Garga and team always just said “judge us after this”. Even if you don’t think this will be a big deal - I do, clearly - I assume some speculation will kick in at the very least. That’d be enough to burn some serious amount of $apestr. And then, even if you think news are gonna be meh, are they gonna be under 8 eth meh? Even bouncing back to a 15 eth floor, some 90% below all time highs would be an absolutely insane parabolic move for the token. Now, want the moonshot elements that STILL do not even involve something spectacular announced? Team has shown connections and willingness to push the DeFi angle the last two weeks, having ape everywhere, on hyperliquid, on solana, in pools and protocols. If they go this route sky’s the limit. A juiced up apestr/ape pool on @prjx_hl? Yes please! Some dedicated farm? Or of course special NFT drops, points, gated irl events, whatever: they have a massive treasure chest. They are also very uniquely positioned amongst major players as their token, $ape, is a whole blockchain, not a meme or a vibe check or a work in progress. So there is zero internal conflict. This is as key as it gets. They can push this hard, if they so decide - no idea if they will of course. They were amongst the first to embrace it with dedicated art and tweets from the official @bayc account. People wanted a memecoin for ape, or some more defi ready primitive to play with, and they definitely want higher floors. How about all three wrapped up into one? With zero added weight on in-house dev team that can focus on $ape and Otherside unencumbered? This is a lot of ifs, and not financial advice in any shape or form, we are at the bleeding edge of protocol experimentation and this can go to zero or fail in a day. But I do believe that “apes bad” stupidly hindered the $apestr token performance and this will end soon, positioning solidly at the number two spot, and rerating heavily against not only other NFT strategies but even somewhat with Punk strategy itself, if the right levers get pushed. So as usual, I’ve put my money where my mouth is, and positioned accordingly. Zero or Hero, with the swamp, as usual since day 0 ✊🦧
